“Mothers, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones. Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be magnified, compensated, made more than you are, better than you are, better than you’ve ever been.

He is blessing you & He will bless you. Rely on Him, rely on Him heavily. Rely on Him forever. And press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope.”

Brent Andrew Gooch

So I know this is a little late but last month Andy was able to give Brent a baby blessing. A baby blessing is when the child is blessed at church during sacrament meeting and his name is recorded in the records of the church and the blessing is recognized by God. The ordinance of giving a name and a blessing is a sacred and happy experience and is done soon after the baby is born. You can read here Luke 1:5–14, 26–33 the account of how John the Baptist got his name. And you can read here Mark 10:16 about where Christ blessed the children. When Christ blessed the little children, he did it with authority from our Heavenly Father. We have the same authority in the Church today.
